Garden Tour: A Walk with the Horticulture Manager Bring your notebooks and cameras for this participant-driven program. We’ll make our way through the Gardens with frequent stops for discussions about (what else?) plants! Meet at the West Entrance of Gardens, located off of Arboretum Dr. next to the McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens West Gate. Free for Members / Included with admission

Teacher Professional Development: My Sky Tonight

This engaging workshop will provide information and activities on developmentally appropriate practices adapted specifically for astronomy. The workshop will cover techniques for engaging young children in science practices, including engaging with natural phenomena, observing, looking for patterns, using tools and modeling. Perfect for preschool – kindergarten teachers with modifications for first grade! Pre-registration is required by October 27. Cost is $40 per participant.
